  • Is it scary?
Most people think so! We’ve been voted one of the top haunts in the nation. Everyone has their own particular fear threshold and we do our best to accommodate everybody. We offer haunted entertainment – which means you might get scared, you might get terrified, or you might just enjoy the incredible actors, sets, and originality of our attraction. You will laugh, scream, giggle, and tremble with or at your friends. Our repeat customer rate is very high.
  • Can I leave if I get too scared?
There are 23 emergency exits throughout the attraction that you can use to exit our attraction at any time. Please be advised, once you leave the attraction there are NO REFUNDS or re-entry. You paid us to scare you. If you get scared in the line, or in the first few rooms and want to leave, we've done our job. Be happy with the prompt service. :)
  • Do I have to sign a waiver?
No, that would be very time-consuming. By entering Arx Mortis you agree to the terms and conditions that are displayed in the lobby and the disclaimer on the back of your ticket.
  • Will things touch me?
Will things touch me? You will not be grabbed by monsters inside our attraction.
  • How long does it take to go through?
It all depends how fast you can run! The average group takes 45 minutes to an hour to go through both Ghosthill haunted trail and the main attraction, Covington Clinic.
  • What is the age restriction?
Arx Mortis Haunted Attraction is not recommended for children under 13. However, it really depends on the person. You can bring all of the kids you want, but remember that we provide an EXTREMELY frightening experience that may not be suited for those of an impressionable age.
  • Do kids have to be accompanied by an adult?
No, but it is recommended. Most parents, after accompanying their children through the attraction, have returned on other nights with their significant others and friends to enjoy the show.
  • Is there anywhere for parents to wait?
Yes, parents can wait for their children in the lobby.
  • What time does Arx Mortis usually open?
Tickets go on sale at 7:00pm. The first groups generally go back at approximately 7:30 pm.
  • What time does the line start forming?
The ticket windows open at approximately 7:00 p.m. Early in the season, arriving at or after opening time is fine, but as we get closer to Halloween, the crowds get larger. Towards the end of our October schedule, it is recommended that you arrive early, purchase your tickets online, or arrive an hour before closing to avoid wait excessive wait times.
  • How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are available at the box office the day of the show, or you can purchase online.
  • Once we’ve used our ticket can we go through again with the same ticket?
No. A new ticket is required for each visit.
  • How long will I wait if I buy my ticket on location?
Waiting times will vary depending on the day and time of arrival. We recommend you come early: We open in September. If you come the first few weekends, you will miss the crowd and will be able to go into the haunted house with a very small group of people. This translates into a very personal nightmare. Additionally, weekday nights usually have very small lines. To avoid the wait, it is best to buy your tickets online or come early.
  • Is there a way to avoid the line?
For the shortest wait times, we recommend that you plan your visit early in the season or on weeknights/Sunday. If you plan to come later in the season (towards Halloween), you should purchase your tickets online, as the online queue line is generally shorter than the onsite ticket queue line. If you want to bypass the general admission line, please go online and buy a FastPass ticket. FastPass ticket holders bypass the inside wait time which can save up to an hour and a half. On busy nights, someone will be in the parking lot to redeem your tickets and send you right into the attraction.
  • If I'm in line by closing time, will I still be able to go in?"
Yes. If you are in line at closing time you will get to go into the attraction.
  • Can I go through if I'm pregnant?
Although we do not recommend it, you may ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  • Are there fog and strobe lights?
Yes. We do use fog machines and strobe lights at Arx Mortis. Should you find the smoke and strobes too intense there are emergency exits throughout the attraction. It is not recommended that anyone with epilepsy or heart problems enter our attraction. All entry is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  • Is smoking allowed?
Smoking and Vaping are only allowed in the parking lot. Smoking and Vaping are NOT allowed indoors
  • Can we take flash photos of your haunted houses?
NO photography OR videography of any sort is allowed INSIDE the haunts. There are many reasons for this. Among these reasons, a simple flash or strobe from your camera will temporarily blind our creatures, it disrupts the other guest's experience, and pausing to take pictures and video slows down the line. If you are observed breaking this rule, you may be asked to leave your tour immediately with no compensation. HOWEVER, the creatures outside and in the waiting areas will quite often pose for pictures.
  • Does your attraction have security?
Yes. Safety is one of our highest priorities! Arx Mortis has armed police and security officers on staff during production. We also have firefighters and EMTs on staff each night as an additional precaution to help keep you safe.
  • Can you be asked to leave/escorted out of the attraction?
Yes! We do not allow the touching of our creatures, pushing, fighting, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, alcohol, nicotine products, if you are impaired by drugs or alcohol, etc. Anything that may harm you, our staff, our production, or any other patrons. We have a list of rules just like anyone else that must be adhered to for your own safety.
  • Can I bring ________?
If you have to ask, it's best that you leave it in the car or, better yet, at home. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun event for every visitor. Therefore, weapons of any kind, pepper spray, knives, lighters, flashlights, alcoholic beverages, and any other potentially dangerous objects are not permitted inside Arx Mortis. We have a strict "no guns" policy, which means that even persons licensed to carry a firearm, including off-duty law enforcement officers, will not be permitted to bring their weapon (and we can't hold them for you either). WE SUGGEST NOT BRINGING/WEARING ARTICLES OF JEWELRY, ACCESSORIES, or PHONES solely for the fact that if lost Arx Mortis cannot ensure they will be found

You should receive tickets with QR codes by email via the purchasing website. Without the QR code, we cannot guarantee entry. There are NO refunds.
  • FastPass tickets are not offered online for the night I plan to attend. Can I upgrade when I arrive?
Yes! Speak with the ticketbooth personnel about adding this upgrade to your ticket. On nights with shorter wait times, they will recommend that you save your money! However, if you are desperate for the FastPass ticket, they will be glad to upgrade your ticket for the posted amount.
  • Do you offer group discounts?
Yes we do. For groups of 15 or more, the discount is $3 per Arx Mortis ticket price/person. Groups must be paid by one person to receive discounted price.
